Banana and Mars Bar Cake

Ingredients

  • 150 g butter
  • 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 bananas, mashed
  • 2 cups self-raising flour
  • 3 (60 g) Mars bars, chopped
  • 1⁄2 cup milk
  • 1 cup icing sugar
  • 2 tablespoons caramel topping
  • 2 teaspoons hot water

Instructions

1 _ Preheat oven to 180°C.

2 _ Line a 7 x 11 x 21cm loaf pan with non-stick baking paper.

3 _ Beat 150g butter and 1/4 cup (100g) brown sugar until pale and creamy.

4 _ Beat in 2 eggs and 2 bananas, mashed.

5 _ Combine 2 cups (300g) self-raising flour and 3 x 60g Mars Bars, chopped.

6 _ Fold into the butter mixture with 1/2 cup (125ml) milk.

7 _ Spoon into pan.

8 _ Bake for 50-55 minutes. Set aside to cool.

9 _ Combine 1 cup (150g) icing sugar, 2 tbs caramel topping and 2 tsp hot water.

10 _ Drizzle over the cake to serve.
