Chocolate Chess Pie

Ingredients

  • 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
  • 5 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1⁄3 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 partially 9-inch baked pie crust

Instructions

1 _ Preheat oven to 325F degrees.

2 _ Combine sugar, cocoa, flour, and salt.

3 _ Blend in milk.

4 _ Beat in eggs 1 at a time.

5 _ Add butter and vanilla, beat until smooth.

6 _ Pour into prebaked pie shell.

7 _ Bake in 325* oven for 55-60 minutes.
