Sour Cream Coffee Cake

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 cup softened butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 3⁄4 cups sour cream (500 mg tub)
Topping
  • 1⁄4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1⁄4-1⁄2 cup chopped nuts

Instructions

1 _ Prepare the topping first and set aside.

2 _ Preheat oven to 350°.

3 _ Grease and flour tube or bundt pan (I just spray with Pam).

4 _ Sift dry ingredients and set aside.

5 _ Combine butter and sugar.

6 _ Add eggs and vanilla.

7 _ Beat well.

8 _ Stir in dry ingredients.

9 _ Fold in sour cream.

10 _ Pour 1/2 batter in pan; top with 1/2 topping.

11 _ Pour remaining batter in pan and top with rest of topping.

12 _ Bake 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in cake comes out clean.
