Thick Chocolate Pudding

Ingredients

  • 1⁄3 cup sugar
  • 1⁄4 cup cocoa
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups skim milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1 _ In a 2-qt. microwave-safe bowl, combine the first four ingredients.

2 _ Stir in milk until smooth.

3 _ Microwave, uncovered on high for 3 minutes; stir.

4 _ Microwave 4-6 minutes longer or until thickened, stirring after each minute.

5 _ Stir in vanilla.

6 _ Pour into individual serving dishes; cool.

7 _ Refrigerate.

8 _ Garnish with whipped topping if desired.
