Basic Recipe for Custard Cream


  • 6 each Egg yolks
  • 2 tbsp Cake flour
  • 8 tbsp Sugar
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 4 tsp Salted Butter
  • 1/2 tbsp Vanilla extract


1_ Whisk egg yolks , sugar , vanilla extract and flour together until well-combined.

2_ Simmer milk and butter over low heat. Do not cook the milk but just let the milk becomes hot and the butter is melted.

3_ When the milk mixture is ready , pour in egg yolk mixture little at a time and whisk the mixture while adding the milk.

4_ Strain back into the pot.

5_ On a low heat , whisk your custard continuously until it thickens.

6_ Remove from the heat and pour it a heat-proof bowl.

7_ Enjoy! Serve as a dipping sauce for biscuits and bread of your choice.
