Best Scallops Ever


  • 1 poundraw scallops
  • 1 tablespoondry oregano
  • 2 tablespoonspaprika
  • 3/4diced red onion
  • 2 strandsfresh rosemary
  • 3 tablespoonsdijon mustard
  • 1/4 cupolive oil
  • 1 teaspooncumin seeds
  • 2 stalksscallion (slice in strands)
  • 2 ouncessingle malt scotch
  • to tastesalt
  • to tastepepper
  • 1 teaspoontumeric powder 


1_ Rinse scallop (add a touch of lemon to the water if you have any). Drain

2_ In a bowl mix scallops, paprika, tumeric and oregano. Set aside

3_ In frying pan, add:
Olive oil
Red onion
Place on stove on low-medium heat for about 15 minutes while continuously stirring.

4_ Turn up heat to medium-high and add scallop mixture to frying lan.

5_ Periodically stir for about 2 minutes

6_ Add the 2 once of single malt scotch and cook scallops until tender (do not overcook).
Add a few cracks of salt and pepper to taste

7_ Serve with rice or (my preference) serve on top of a sliced French baguette.
