No Bake Cheesecake Frosting


  • 1/4 lbsoftened salted butter, (1 stick)
  • 1 lbcream cheese, softened (2 packages)
  • 2 tsppure vanilla extract
  • 2 cuppowdered sugar


1_ Bring the cream cheese and butter to room temperature. Very important for blending and then frosting.

2_ In a mixing bowl, whisk the butter and cream cheese until creamy.

3_ Mix in the vanilla and powdered sugar. Blend well.

4_ On your favorite cake that has been thoroughly chilled, frost away.

5_ This will cover one 9 x13 sheet cake with a thicker layer. It will also frost a 9" round layer cake.

6_ I put shredded sweetened coconut over the frosting. You can also use sprinkles to decorate or chopped nuts. Or just plain as it's delicious!

7_ For an even more authentic cheesecake flavor, add one half teaspoon of fresh lemon zest when mixing.

8_ This frosting must be kept refrigerated.
