Oreo cheesecake


  • 1 1/2 cupsOreos, crushed finely (about 20)
  • 2 tablespoonsbutter melted
  • 3 packages (8 ounce)cream cheese softened
  • 1 cupsugar
  • 1/4 cupall-purpose flour
  • 1 cup (8 ounce)sour cream
  • 2 teaspoonsvanilla
  • 1/4 teaspoonsalt
  • 3eggs lightly beaten
  • 15coarsely chopped, Oreos divided


1_ Combined crush Oreos and butter in a large bowl. Press into bottom and one inch up sides of a greased 9 inch springform pan. Set aside.

2_ Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth beat in the sour cream, flour, vanilla and salt.

3_ Add eggs beat on low just until combined. Fold in three fourths cup of the chopped Oreos. Pour into crust. Top with remaining cookies.

4_ Place on baking sheet. Bake at 325 degrees 60-65 minutes or until center is almost set.

5_ Cool on a wire rack for 10 minutes carefully running a knife around edges. Cool 1 hour longer. Refrigerate overnight then remove sides of pan.
