Revina (semolina cake )

Ingredients

  • 120 gbutter
  • 350 gsugar
  • 100 gself-raising flour
  • 200 mlmilk
  • 4eggs
  • 200 gsemolina
  • 1lemon zest
  • 1/2lemon juice
  • 150 galmonds (peeled)

Instructions

1_ Cream butter and 150g sugar

2_ Add egg yolk one at a time

3_ Add flour ,milk,semolina, lemon zest, and mix well

4_ Whip egg whites and incorporate to the cake mixture

5_ Bake at 170 degrees C for 40-45 mins

6_ Make syrup:
Bring 20cl water to a boil , add the remaining sugar and lemon juice.simmer for about 5-10mins
leave to cool


7_ When the cake hs cooled down ,moistened it with the syrup
Decorate with the almonds

8_ Ready to be eaten
